An unnamed Fortune 500 financial services firm needed to turn data science from an isolated capability into an enterprise-wide function; data scientists worked in silos across SAS/R/Python on separate servers, data was scattered across platforms (Oracle, IBM, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, Hadoop), and production deployment meant retrofitting isolated dev environments. Its Analytics Center of Excellence chose Domino's Enterprise MLOps platform (over Dataiku, H2O and DataKitchen), starting with 15 data scientists on customer-communication analysis and call-center transcript evaluation, with the platform auto-tracking code, tools, data and packages for reproducibility. Real-estate portfolio optimization model run time fell from days to under an hour, the tool 'saves employees hours of work every week,' and the planned user base grew from 15 to over 75 data scientists, alongside improved team collaboration and training built from call-center sentiment analysis.

Domino Data Lab is an enterprise MLOps platform built for regulated industries — the sanctioned sandbox where biopharma teams run reproducible experiments under GxP/21 CFR Part 11 guardrails.

This sits in the Design & Stress-Test stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the tools pharma teams use to scope, prototype and benchmark an AI use case before committing to build it — data-catalog, sandbox and evaluation platforms.
