GSK Modernizes Clinical Analytics SCE with Domino
GSK needed to unify its Pharmaceuticals and Vaccines units, which ran on separate, 'siloed, monolithic, and inflexible' Statistical Computing Environments that slowed clinical trial reporting and regulatory submissions. GSK adopted Domino's cloud-native SCE platform to build one unified environment supporting both GxP and non-GxP work, using R, Python, SAS and Azure Kubernetes, integrated with GitHub, Azure Data Lake Storage and Databricks across 2,000+ biostatistics users, completed after a 9-month migration. The result was accelerated regulatory submission cycle times and end-to-end traceability/reproducibility for compliance. Senior Director Eileen Ching said Domino 'gives us a full toolbox, not just different sized hammers, where we can easily pick the best tool for the job.'
Domino Data Lab is an enterprise MLOps platform built for regulated industries — the sanctioned sandbox where biopharma teams run reproducible experiments under GxP/21 CFR Part 11 guardrails.
This sits in the Design & Stress-Test stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the tools pharma teams use to scope, prototype and benchmark an AI use case before committing to build it — data-catalog, sandbox and evaluation platforms.
