Adobe strengthens data culture by engaging employees
Adobe (25,000+ employees) had term definitions stored in Collibra's Business Glossary, but employees working in tools like Tableau had to break their workflow to look them up. Adobe built integrations that pushed Collibra definitions into Tableau via a MySQL-fed data source with mouseover tooltips, then extended the approach to Power BI and its CRM through Collibra's APIs, plus an acronym glossary harvested from wiki pages and an internal chatbot for lookups. The integration drove 50-100 unique daily Collibra users through the Tableau mouseover feature and over 4,000 unique users — about 22% of Adobe's workforce — by summer 2018; Ryan Cook said it helped "foster understanding in our organization by bringing data governance to our users."
Collibra is a data-governance and catalog platform used to keep data trustworthy, traceable and compliant enough to support an AI initiative.
This sits in the Design & Stress-Test stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the tools pharma teams use to scope, prototype and benchmark an AI use case before committing to build it — data-catalog, sandbox and evaluation platforms.
