Elation Health delivers faster clinical insights with Claude

Elation Health, a clinical EHR/billing platform serving 46,000 clinical users and 24 million patients, had a Clinical Insights chart-summary feature built on another provider that suffered from slow response (26-second median latency), uncited sources, and workflow misalignment. Elation switched to Claude Haiku 4.5 to power cited, streaming chart summaries, deploying it in three days and rolling it to all users within two weeks. This produced a 61% reduction in median time to first insight for chart review and 2x adoption of the Clinical Insights feature since migrating to Claude, with weekly prescriber usage trending up and overall AI tool adoption more than tripling among active clinicians. Engineers also adopted Claude Code for refactoring and test generation.

Anthropic builds the Claude model family, including a dedicated Claude for Life Sciences push used across drug discovery, regulatory writing and clinical documentation.
