A top-ten pharma consolidated its home-grown LIMS onto Thermo Scientific SampleManager LIMS across global sites.
The company wanted to cut the cost of supporting multiple home-grown LIMS and move to one corporate standard with ERP/MES integration, lab automation and a paperless lab. SampleManager LIMS was implemented first at an API production facility (QC and in-process labs, with validation and an SAP interface for automatic sample login), then rolled out. It is now live across twelve sites on four continents, with the page citing better data integrity, lower cost of ownership and lots traceable back to raw material and environmental monitoring data.
