Medidata and Sanofi Vaccines Extend Collaboration to Improve Patient Centricity and Trial Efficiency
Sanofi Vaccines and Medidata expanded their decade-long partnership to deploy Medidata's Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) solution across Sanofi's vaccine trials, including a customized eDiary library. The solution was piloted across six vaccine studies, showing high patient compliance and reliable data, before moving into Sanofi's full vaccine trial pipeline. Medidata eCOA reduces study build times by up to 50% and enables remote patient data entry, reducing on-site monitoring needs. Sanofi's global head of clinical data management said expanding the collaboration would 'improve our clinical development processes' in pursuit of delivering breakthrough vaccines.
Medidata is a Dassault Systèmes company supplying the clinical-trial EDC and data platform (Rave) most sponsors and CROs already run live trials on, now with an AI layer built in.
This sits in the Ship stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the vendors pharma teams use to get an AI system live inside a real, regulated production workflow — validation, CRM, safety and clinical systems of record.
