De-risking clinical development and driving therapeutic innovation for heart failure

Heart failure affects about 6.5 million Americans over age 20 with roughly 960,000 new cases annually, and readmission rates have worsened over the past decade; the most current widely used real-world reference, the ADHERE registry, was nearly 20 years old. Reprieve Cardiovascular needed contemporary, nationally representative patient-level data with rich clinical detail to advance its heart-failure decongestion device. Partnering with Truveta, Reprieve identified a patient population three times the size of the ADHERE registry, validated the clinical need for its device, and used the data to optimize clinical trial design with predictive capabilities for enrollment and outcomes.

Truveta is a real-world-data company owned by a consortium of major US health systems, supplying daily-updated de-identified EHR data and a genomic-linkage research program.
