Linking EHR and proprietary data for novel real-world research

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) devices capture daily glucose trends but often lack the clinical context needed to study long-term outcomes and comorbidities. Dexcom partnered with Truveta, using the technology behind Truveta Live Link to securely merge its CGM data with longitudinal EHR records, creating an integrated dataset of more than 200,000 patients linking glucose measurements to diagnoses, medications, lab results and outcomes. The linked dataset supports Dexcom's R&D, regulatory and health-economics teams and is being used to accelerate research into kidney-disease progression, risk stratification, and real-world CGM therapy effectiveness.
