Absci and AstraZeneca partnered to design a new antibody for an oncology target with generative AI.
AstraZeneca wanted to speed discovery of a new cancer treatment candidate. Absci applies its generative AI antibody platform to design a therapeutic antibody against an oncology target, under an agreement with upfront payment, R&D funding, milestones and royalties. The release says the cycle of data collection, AI design and wet-lab validation takes about six weeks, and that Absci can screen billions of cells per week.
Absci is a generative AI drug creation company that designs antibodies de novo and partners with pharma such as AstraZeneca and Almirall.
This sits in the Build stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the foundation-model labs and platforms pharma teams use to actually construct, train and generate the model or application.
