Johnson & Johnson: Transforming vision care with generative AI
J&J's Vision team wanted to accelerate generative AI adoption and partnered with Dataiku on a two-day training and hackathon event bringing together 650+ employees from analytics, data science, commercial, supply chain, digital, R&D and technology teams globally. The program combined theoretical GenAI/LLM sessions, hands-on project workshops, and a hackathon where teams built working prototypes addressing vision care, surgical vision, consumer needs, sales, contracts and customer insights -- all in under two days. Afterward, 80+ analytics and data science professionals adopted Dataiku as their common platform. Director Adrian Panduro said 'the progress these teams achieved in this short time underscores the power of the Dataiku platform and the benefits of collaborative innovation.'
Dataiku is a low-code/no-code AI platform whose Prompt Studios and LLM Mesh let teams prototype and A/B-test candidate LLM approaches before committing to a production workflow.
This sits in the Design & Stress-Test stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the tools pharma teams use to scope, prototype and benchmark an AI use case before committing to build it — data-catalog, sandbox and evaluation platforms.
