Komodo Health and NCQA Collaborate to Accelerate the Future of Healthcare Quality Measurement

Developing new healthcare quality measures traditionally meant assembling fragmented datasets from multiple sources, creating long development and testing cycles; NCQA wanted to modernize measure development to keep pace with clinical evidence and real-world care. Komodo Health and NCQA entered a multi-year strategic collaboration using Komodo's Healthcare Map (de-identified data covering 330+ million patient journeys) and Marmot, its healthcare-native AI analytics platform, to test a new HEDIS measure — Follow-Up After Positive Colorectal Cancer Non-Invasive Screening Test (COF-E) — across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and commercial populations from a single longitudinal data source. Testing time dropped from two-to-three months to about one month, and the COF-E measure is slated for implementation in Measurement Year 2027.
