Iktos announces Strategic Collaboration with Servier
Iktos, an AI and robotics company for drug discovery, entered a multi-year partnership with pharmaceutical company Servier combining Iktos' generative AI and robotics platform with Servier's scientific and clinical development capabilities. Iktos will design, synthesize, and optimize small molecules for multiple undisclosed targets, while Servier evaluates compounds with proprietary assays and manages preclinical/clinical development, focused on oncology and neurology. The deal "could exceed €1 billion, including upfront, research funding, and milestone payments." CEO Yann Gaston-Mathé said the goal is to "accelerate the discovery of innovative small-molecule therapeutics with the potential to bring meaningful benefits to patients worldwide."
Iktos is a generative-AI drug-design company whose de novo molecule-design platform is used directly by partner pharma companies' medicinal chemists.
This sits in the Build stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the foundation-model labs and platforms pharma teams use to actually construct, train and generate the model or application.
