Jefferson HealthBuildAzure

Jefferson Health, a multi-state nonprofit network of 18 hospitals, a university, and a payor that had grown through mergers, needed greater scalability, agility, and the ability to add workloads seamlessly while maintaining security and disaster recovery for its electronic health records. Jefferson Health migrated its on-premises Epic EHR system to Azure, working with Microsoft and Accenture, implementing contemporary information security controls, data encryption, and hardened systems during the migration. The case study states Jefferson Health is "one of the largest providers in the US to migrate its electronic health records to the cloud," citing benefits of enhanced resiliency, disaster recovery, business agility for scaling infrastructure, and positioning to leverage AI/ML capabilities in future -- but it gives no specific quantifiable metrics or timelines.

Microsoft Azure is Microsoft's cloud AI platform, combining Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI Service — the delivery channel for a large share of pharma's enterprise GPT deployments.

This sits in the Build stage of the AI use-case lifecycle: Named examples from the foundation-model labs and platforms pharma teams use to actually construct, train and generate the model or application.
